HEALTH & SAFETY
If you are a business owner, it is vitally important that you learn how to identify health and safety hazards in your workplace. This is not only to protect your employees from harm, but also to protect your bottom line. Occupational safety and health(OSH) is a cross-disciplinary area concerned with protecting the safety, health and welfare of people engaged in work or employment. The goal of occupational safety and health programs is to foster a safe and healthy work environment, but also to protect co-workers, family members, employers, customers, suppliers, nearby communities, and other members of the public who are impacted by the workplace environment. It further reduces medical care, sick leave and disability benefit costs.
