Skills development has been identified as one of the most important focuses for economic growth and poverty alleviation in South Africa. Graham & Rhona Beck have donated an amount of money to build and launch a skills training centre on a farm near Robertson, registered as an Section 21 Company, that has become the focal point of skills development in the Breede River Winelands Area. Its primarily focus is to address the training needs of people in rural communities. This Multi-sectoral Skills Centre officially opened its doors on 20 Nov 2008. The centre acts mainly as a facilitating body, matching training supply with demand, and by providing a world-class training venue and facilities.
